What are the top concerns of the children we sponsor in the Philippines? See below.

March 9, 2017. A commitment was made and now you are weighing whether or not you will keep it. You don't want to because the requirements have become very burdensome. You don't want to stop and pray about it, because of where the prayer might lead you. But you are leaning toward keeping your commitment because it is the right thing to do. Do the right thing. I will reward you in ways you cannot see now.

Galatians 6:9 (NASB) "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary."  Bev Robinson

March 9, 2017. Now is the time to ask for and seek after wisdom. God's wisdom is never short on supply and is readily available to all who are willing to humble themselves and hear its call. What will your decision be for your upcoming situations? Can you hear wisdom calling your name? Be attentive and pay attention to wisdom's profound counsel. A clear knowing and understanding are in the mix. Be prepared to receive wisdom's keen insight and astuteness.

Proverbs 2:6-7 (NLT) "For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity."  Kevin Robinson

Ministry to Children in the Philippines

The FCM pastors who care for the sponsored children regularly meet with the children for Bible study, prayer and discipleship. During a recent meeting of one of the groups, a pastor asked them "what things do you need God's help with? What are your worries, concerns, problems, sadness and difficulties?"

We thought you would like to know the top concerns expressed by the children. They are:
1. We do not have enough food in our house
2. My father is into gambling
3. We do not have any rice
4. We do not have money to pay our debt
5. My father is a drunkard
6. My father to not get involved in drugs anymore
7. The rain water comes in to our house
8. Someone is always bullying me in school
9. Sometimes I can not understand my teacher

These are the concerns most of the children would express. Another concern we often hear is, "That my sponsor will stop sponsoring me and I won't be able to go to school any more."

When selecting children to sponsor, our target is children who cannot go to school because they are too poor. When a child is sponsored through FCM, they get an education and supplemental nutrition. They and their families come under the care of a pastor who teaches them how to live a victorious Christian life.

We currently sponsor just over 900 children in 24 locations in the Philippines. We hope to add many more sponsored children for the new school year that Kathy and Kids begins in June. Come be part of changing the life of a child.
