CBS Congregational Discussion
Last March, the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism held a special meeting to vote on a proposed amendment to the Standards for Congregational Practice. And as explained,  the revised Standard does not affect the current membership rules at CBS – it simply enables CBS to change our rules if we so desire.

As a next step, CBS appointed an ad hoc committee, including representation from Ritual and Membership committees, to study our overall approach to membership and inclusion to determine if there are any recommendations to make about our future course of action.

At this time, this committee is inviting the congregation to join in for a brief discussion. To provide opportunity for all interested to participate in this conversation, two meeting dates have been scheduled. Please join in on either Sunday, January 28 at 10am or on Tuesday, January 30 at 7pm
