RIO (Recognition/Insight/Open-Willingness) is a 3-week psychoeducational workshop. RECOGNIZE what is important so that you can live with meaning & purpose. Gain INSIGHT into what’s worth paying attention to and what’s mere noisy distraction, and how to separate yourself from your reactions. Learn OPEN-WILLINGNESS so that you can ride life’s roller coaster without getting whiplash. Your life is worth it!

Participants learn about a variety of mindfulness skills to practice in and outside the group. Incorporating mindfulness skills into their daily life, participants become better at managing emotional stress and lead healthier lives. Students are asked to commit to attending all four sessions and practicing the skills between meetings. The required text is Wherever You Go, There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zin.
Stress GPS

Stress GPS is a two-part workshop where students will learn to examine the difference between stress, distress, and crisis in their lives and will be exposed to appropriate actions to address each.
