A Year in Review: Making a Difference
Twenty five years ago this year, Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County (HFHBC) was birthed by a handful of local visionaries who felt that everyone who worked hard, deserved a safe and affordable place to live.  These few were optimists who saw HFHBC playing a critical part in creating stronger communities throughout Berkeley County.  They purposed to put God's love into action by bringing people together, from all walks of life, to build homes, communities, and hope.  Twenty  five years later, we continue to embrace our founders values and vision.
Since 1990, over sixty families have earned the opportunity to own their very own home.  These sixty plus households equate to men and women, fathers, mothers, and children, just like us, who have been afforded the opportunity to realize a dream, to have a place they call their very own.  It has taken millions of dollars and tens of thousands of volunteers to see projects funded, homes created, and hope realized.  I am proud of the Berkeley County community in their efforts to love others as they love themselves.

Regarding 2015, HFHBC completed and sold three new homes in the Wall St. community of Moncks Corner.  The Ashworth, Lewis, and Jones families will be celebrating their first Christmas and New Year's in their beautiful, ENERGY STAR certified, new homes.  This community now houses a total of 8 HFHBC homes built over the last 10 years.  We will continue to partner with the citizens of the Wall St. neighborhood to assist them in realizing the full potential of their community.  2015 also witnessed HFHBC develop the foundation for a home repair program.  We are excited to broaden our building solutions to assist individuals and families remain in home ownership by partnering with them in completing critical home repairs.
Thank you for the part you have played in making 2015 successful and I would ask that you continue to commit your time, treasure, and talents to HFHBC and our ReStore as we look to serve 4 hard working families (2 by way of new homes and 2 by way of home owner occupied critical repairs), over one thousand volunteers, and hundred of donors in 2016.
On behalf of HFHBC's board and staff, we pray for a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year season for you and those you love.

Sincerely,

Bryant Knepp
