So the saying goes and continues that women in any workforce do everything men do, yet have to struggle up hill to succeed in a male oriented industry.

Motivated by the American Institute of Architects' effort to re-position itself as a more equitable organization (and inspired by AIA San Francisco's annual conference The Missing 32 % Project), AIA|LA is organizing a design symposium that will highlight best practices of women leadership in design.

The 2015 POWERFUL Symposium will feature inspirational and energetic presentations that showcase women who are leading the design profession in architecture, art, social impact and innovation. Read more
