The Choices We Make

Napa Valley CanDo seeks to inspire and facilitate action  by alerting interested Valley residents about opportunities for service. If you participate as a volunteer in an activity that you learned about through Napa Valley CanDo, whether initiated by CanDo or another organization, please take personal responsibility for your involvement. Use common sense. Only you can determine whether an activity is a good fit, that is to say  compatible with your interests and abilities.

IS  THERE  A  SONG  IN  YOUR  HEART?
What are some of the tunes that
have inspired you to positive action?

At CanDo's eighth birthday fete late next month,
we'll
celebrate community and the CanDo Spirit.

You'll be able to see what we've been up to, enjoy some cake, nibbles and a sparkling beverage, guide the younger set over to craft activities in the CanDo Kids Corner,
and - hey - did we say dance?

Help us compile potential tunes for our mix list.
We're focusing on songs about community, friendship, positive change and celebration.

CanDo members have already contributed over 30 titles and artists. Each has a link to a YouTube version so you can listen to them, too. How cool is that?

One caution:
This is a shared document. Please add your suggestions with care so as not to erase another entry.

The first 20 or so are alphabetical by song title. Enjoy. They're forming a pretty inspirational score!
(You may want to listen occasionally in the morning
instead of turning on the news.)

Just click here to add your suggestions
at the bottom of the list.

EARTH DAY NAPA
Come for the trash, stay for the art
Saturday, April 22, 2017 - 11AM - Oxbow Commons

Napa's ever-popular Earth Day Celebration is coming up soon, and as always, CanDo will be an active participant.

Bright and early, starting at 8AM, our Waterways Keepers crew will be working with other local groups to host trash cleanups at 5 locations around town. Show up to the location of your choice, grab a bucket and a trash-picker (we'll supply these), and help us leave our town sparkling clean and litter-free. Bring the kids! Bring your neighbors and friends! Details may be found here.

Then, wander over to the beautiful Oxbow Commons for the city's Earth Day festivities, happening between noon and 4:00pm. CanDo will host a table with a fun art activity for children (we won't turn away grown-ups, promise).
Of course, while you're there, you can also find out
about all CanDo's great projects and how they help
our valley communities thrive.

We need four more volunteers to help during a
two-hour shift at our table. You'll be paired with an experienced tabler. Promise. Sign up here. Just click the "Sign-up" button in the shift of your choice.
