"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" is a well known saying, but the impact that Texas had on the Libertarian Party national convention which concluded yesterday in Las Vegas will have an impact far outside of Las Vegas. Soon, Texas will have another opportunity to grow the liberty movement at the Libertarian Party of Texas state convention. Will you join us?
Texas had 60 delegates in attendance in Las Vegas, the largest delegation I have ever seen. Texas delegates had a big impact on the outcome of the convention, and also had the best party (and I don't just mean politically). This was a great group to be with and I enjoyed having them all represent Texas.
Texas has always had a significant role in the leadership of the Libertarian Party at the national level, but now even more so. Our own Geoff Neale will once again serve as the national chairman. The national vice-chair is the man who really stole the show of the convention, our own Lee Wrights. Additionally, John Jay Myers from Texas will serve to represent our region on the national committee.
As much fun as the convention in Vegas was, we have one just as important that is much closer and much less costly coming up in Fort Worth.
We have special early discount pricing until May 19. It will be a weekend not to miss. Visit our convention page www.LPTexas.org/2012convention today and register today!
Yours in Liberty,
Pat Dixon, Chair, Libertarian Party of Texas
