After the press conference, the Governor took a tour of Community Servings' state-of-the-art kitchen and made cranberry applesauce with children ages five to twelve. Governor Patrick was also joined by Secretary of Health and Human Services Dr. Judy Ann Bigby, Department of Public Health (DPH) Commissioner John Auerbach, Department of Agricultural Resources (DAR) Commissioner Scott Soares, DTA Commissioner Dan Curley, ChopChop Founder Sally Sampson and others.

What's Happening
Calling all Mustache Growers!
All right men, it's time to help a great cause by lending us your upper lip for the month of February. For our third annual Sponsor My 'Stache mustache growing fundraiser, we are asking all you guys to start off clean shaven on February 1st and grow, grow, grow while soliciting donations from your friends, family, and coworkers to benefit our food and nutrition program. Then, to celebrate all things mustachioed, join us at the Mustachio Bashio party at City Table on February 29th for complimentary cocktails, hors'doeuvres and other mustachioed festivities. Sign-up to grow a 'Stache.
Our Job Trainees are busy in the kitchen
Take a look at what our Job Trainees have been cooking! They've made some mouthwatering dishes over the past few weeks including strawberry shortcake, homemade holiday cookies, fish and some amazing salads. We are excited to welcome our new incoming class!
Introducing our Boston Marathon Team
Team Community Servings--Fiona Hughes, Brandon Keith, Tyler Melazzo, and Coach Steve Miller--are training hard to run the 116th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 16, 2012 for Community Servings. Join us in encouraging them to reach their personal fundraising goal of $5,000 by donating today. All funds raised will allow Community Servings to provide hearty and nourishing home-delivered meals to neighbors struggling with cancer, MS, Lupus, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses.
A Heartfelt Holiday Thank You from our Clients
Thanks to hundreds of generous and intrepid volunteers, our clients' holidays included thoughtful gifts and a festive meal.
One client said "The food that is delivered to me is a life saver...allowing me to continue living with the virus...and keeping me strong and healthy. The meals are fantastic and I want to compliment the chefs who work so hard at making them such healthy, nutritious ones."
Community Servings is deeply grateful to each and every volunteer who purchased items for our clients' gift baskets, called clients for their holiday wish lists, delivered holiday meals and baskets, organized toy drives, prepared and packaged meals, and sorted holiday baskets. Your time, energy and dedication are an inspiration!
