Holiday Spirit Inspires us All!

Harvard Chefs

The holiday season is an inspiring (and busy!) time here at Community Servings.ᅠDuring the fall and winter months, we deliver lavish Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to our clients and their families, produce Pie in the Skyour Thanksgiving pie sale and coordinate the Holiday Gift Basket program which provides gifts for our sick clients and their children. All of this on top of our regular programs, including preparing 2000 mealsᅠeach day!

With such a hectic schedule, we are so grateful to have hundreds of wonderful volunteers who generously lend a hand every holiday season. This year, consider starting a holiday tradition of your own by helping us touch the lives of individuals and families living with a critical illness.

Pie in the Sky Logo Pie in the Sky

This Thanksgiving, have a pie that will satisfy your sweet tooth and warm your heart! For $25, the cost of a pie, we will be able to feed a critically ill neighbor for an entire week. Here's how you can get involved:

Thanksgiving Food Holiday Meal Delivery
Every November and December, our kitchen prepares special holiday meals for our clients. Volunteers help package and deliver oven fresh turkey, stuffing, pot roast, macaroni and cheese, pumpkin pie and a mouthwatering dessert. For our clients who live alone, a visit from a volunteer bearing a home-style meal and a smile reminds them of what the holidays are all about. Contact Ashley Boyd at aboyd@servings.org or 617-522-7777x228 for more information.Volunteer dates are November 23rd and December 23rd.

Holiday Photo Holiday Drives
From October to December, we hold donation drives here at Community Servings. With over 95% of our clients living at or below the federal poverty line, much of our clients' limited income is needed to cover health care and prescription costs leaving little for basic necessities. We are grateful that we can provide these much needed items through the generosity of volunteers like you! Contact Ashley Boyd at aboyd@servings.org or 617-522-7777x228 for more information.
