The speaker will be Lake County Manager Jeff Cole.

He is an accomplished leader who has nearly 30 years of experience working with local and state government in Florida. He began serving as Lake County Manager in June 2017.

Cole joined Lake County in January 2016 as the director of the Public Resources Department, where he oversaw management of the Parks & Trails Division, the Lake County Library System, the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agriculture Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension Services and the Lake County Fairgrounds and Events Center. During his tenure in this role, he focused on enhancing efficiencies and accountability while improving the quality of life in Lake County.

Previously, Cole served as chief of staff for the St. Johns River Water Management District between 2011 and 2015, where he was responsible for intergovernmental affairs, coordinating with local and state officials and media outreach. He began working for the district in 1994, following four years with Brevard County.
