Dear Friends, The response to World Book Night has been phenomenol! What else would we expect from a community that values the book as much as you do! Great News! The deadline to register to be a giver has been extended to Monday, February 6 at Midnight! You can join 50,000 people on April 23rd, handing out 1 million books. Choose from a list of 30 books - books you all have loved (or have wanted to read!). Share your passion of books! 1. Register to be a giver. 2. Choose 3 titles from the list of 30. Describe WHO, WHEN and WHY you want to give these books out. 3. Pick up your FREE 20 books at our distribution party! 4. Share your passion for reading on April 23rd.

Greek Mythology and Graphic Novels for the Kids George O'Connor Olympians, graphic novel series Friday, February 2, 4-5pm
 Greek Mythology as Graphic Novel! For the publication of his 4th book, Hades, George O'Connor will visit the bookstore to talk about the Gods, his art, and how he puts it all together! For all you Percy Jackson and D'Aulaire's Greek Myths fans, come and meet the author/artist who lives and breathes Greek Gods. In addition to his new graphic novel, Hades, George O'Connor has written about Athena, Zeus and Hera. For ages 9 and up, all Mythology Geeks and artists will love to meet George O'Connor.
Breaking Barriers and Succeeding
Jeanette E. Brown African American Women Chemists Sunday, February 5th, 2-3pm
Jeanette E. Brown, the first African American woman in the US to receive a PhD in Chemistry, will join us to share her insights and inspirations. Ms. Brown brings her signature voice to the story of African American women in her book, exploring the lives, motivations and achievements of women who succeeded in the field of Chemistry. This will be an incredible discussion for women in the sciences.

Miss Elaine's Storytime Tuesday Mornings
Storytime is back in full swing. Bring your youngsters for stories old and new - and Miss Elaine's wonderful singing! Youngster ages 2 and up are welcome with their parent or caregiver. Please sign up in advance. Our space is small and safety is a huge issue for us all. Call us, 974-744-7177 or email if you have any questions. There is no fee. Storytime is our gift to our loyal customers. February 7, 14 and 28 at 10:30am. Please note: We follow the Montclair Public School schedule. No Storytime on February 21st. Storytime will be cancelled in the event of a delayed opening or snow day!

3rd Annual Concert for Haiti

Two years after the earthquake that destroyed so much of that impoverished country we are once again bringing our community together to raise funds for the people of Haiti and to enjoy a great line-up of spirited music, including: Big Mamou The Reticents Stephen Bryant Obed Jean-Louis Jazz House Kids The Passing Notes Meredith Greenberg & Leora Perlman and Peri Smilow
All the proceeds will be donated to EDEYO, which is rebuilding a school and providing free quality education to children in Haiti. Tickets will be $20 for adults, $5 for children Tickets are also on sale at Watchung Booksellers
