Dr. John and Linda Piippo represented Holy Spirit Renewal Ministries last month as speakers and leaders of a Servant-Leadership Pastors' Retreat for the National Baptist Convention of Brazil click. This invitation to HSRM came through our very effective American Baptist missionaries in Brazil, Bruce and Ann Borquist click. John is the Senior pastor of Redeemer Fellowship Church in Monroe, MI, also a professor, sought-after speaker, and a member of the HSRM Executive Committee.

Gra�a e paz do Senhor. Friends, we are still praising God for an absolutely wonderful servant leadership retreat with John and Linda Piippo. Around 70 pastors and leaders from 11 states came together for fellowship, teaching, worship (and eating!) together.
 Many shared how blessed they were by the experience - we heard testimonies of renewed hope, healing, a new vision for the church, new friendships, a sense that they clearly heard God's voice, and renewed excitement about how the Convention is ministering to state and local leaders... Please be encouraged by how the Spirit used John and Linda as instruments of hope and healing. MUITO OBRIGADO - we were  blessed both by their ministry and their friendship. By the way, they also spoke at 3 church services, visited the sites of Bras�lia and took us to the most amazing Brazilian barbecue restaurant before the retreat.

Klein & Karen Gilhousen

Klein and Karen Gilhousen are faithful attenders of our Green Lake Holy Spirit Conference every summer. And they are wonderfully generous people when it comes to supporting the cause of Jesus Christ. Klein has been battling a form of cancer for several years now. He has experienced a measure of healing and a number of treatments in the past; however, the cancer has returned, and he is undergoing chemo-treatments again with some results. But the real and most pressing need right now is this:
KLEIN NEEDS A MATCH!
That's right, unless the Lord heals him supernaturally (and we're still praying for that!), he will need a bone marrow match. Are you willing to go to a website and look into it? If you're a match, all it will cost you is a little blood ( not an extraction of bone marrow, but just a draw of blood) - and you will even get that back as I understand it! Please go to the Be the Match website (click here) and look into it. If you aren't a match for Klein, you may be a match for someone else, and you can help save a life.
