The Vietnam Educational Weekend at Old Bedford Village this weekend offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the American military of the period from living historians.  Military equipment displays, period military vehicle rides around the site and an opportunity to talk with Vietnam Veterans make for a new perspective on the conflict and the sacrifices made by so many Americans. Raiibender and Altoona Fun Ride

The organizers of the International Tour de 'Toona bike race are producing a new event called the Railbender this Saturday. The ride will be a fully supported 43 mile loop and will feature a 6 mile climb, descent through the world famous horseshoe curve, traffic-free roads, two rest stops, post-ride BBQ, live music, $50K raffle drawing and vendor village. The event will also feature the 14 mile long Fun Ride for those looking for a milder version of the ride. (more info)
