All-Church Dinner & Ash Wednesday Worship
Wednesday, February 14
All are invited to the monthly all-church dinner on Wednesday, February 14, 6:15 pm, in Pilgrim Hall. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the holiest season in the Christian year. We will worship together and take part in a sacred ritual of ashes that symbolizes this season of mediation and penitence. Register for dinner online
here.
Dinners are $5 per person (pre-paid online with a credit card), or $6 at the door or for take-out. Childcare provided in Starlight Cinema during worship.
|
Tues. Feb. 13th, 6-9 pm
On Tuesday, Feb 13 (day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent) from 6:00-9pm we'll view and discuss Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ (1988, 2 hours, 44 minutes) in the Starlight Cinema at church.
This is a controversial view of Jesus through the lenses of Nikos Kazantzakis, Martin Scorsese and Paul Schrader.

Congregation Etz Chaim has invited us to join them for a Passover learning Seder. At this event, you will have time to learn about the process and ask as many questions as you'd like.
