Indoor Winter Farmers Market
Dec. 9th, 9 am -1 pm

Partnering with an organization called  Faith in Place , FCC will host an indoor winter  farmer's market on Dec. 9th in Pilgrim Hall. Come for the morning and shop a variety of  delicious
beautiful  things.  Here are some of the possible vendors. Maybe get some Christmas shopping done! 
Order Poinsettias Today  

Order your poinsettias to adorn the sanctuary for Christmas. Poinsettias may be offered in celebration or memory of a loved one or dedicated to someone special. Order forms may be found in the Atrium. Cost is $16 per plant, available in red, pink or white; orders must be received by Wednesday, December 13. Contact 

Onward House Gift Appeal
Imagine a Child's Christmas Without Gifts

What better way than to provide gifts for under served children this Christmas?
 Onward House  has given us this years' list of names and wishes of 200 children that need our help. Grab a name in the atrium; pick up a toy or some clothes from the child's list. Box, wrap, bring to church by Sunday December 17th.

DuPageUnitedDuPage United - Working to End Hate

FCCGE is a member of DuPage United.  As a part of that commitment, 6 of our members are currently on the Core Teams of the current initiatives undertaken by DuPage United.   Take part in an opportunity to respond to acts of hate, racism, discrimination or intolerance in DuPage County.  Read how you can make a difference.

 FCCGE is offering a special gift to enrich your 2017 Advent season. We have created a one-of-a-kind devotional booklet written by members of our own FCCGE congregation. Each writer has written a scripture-specific entry to help each of us reflect this period of waiting for our Savior. Pick up your copy in the Narthex or click here .
All-Church Dinner and Festivities
December 6th, 6:15 pm

All are invited to the monthly All-Church Dinner on Wednesday, December 6, 6:15 pm, in Pilgrim Hall.  Sign up today in the Main Lobby or  online here. Dinners are $5 per person (pre-paid online with a credit card), or $6 at the door or for take-out.  Dinner will be followed by All-ages caroling and cookie-decorating!

Monday, December 18th, 3:00 pm

Ushers and Greeters Needed for Christmas Eve Services

We will need ushers and greeters for the Christmas Eve services, Sunday, December 24 at 9:30 am, 7:00 pm and 10:30 pm. There is a need for 6 ushers and 4 greeters at each service. If you (and any additional members of your family) would like to be greeters, the ushers will reserve pew spaces for you so you can also enjoy the service. Please consider volunteering for these critical tasks by contacting Tom Pulver at (312) 816-0863.
One Voice Outreach Choir 
Winter Concert

Grace Lutheran
One Voice Outreach Choir will present its Winter Concert Sunday, December 3rd, at 3 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Avenue, Glen Ellyn. Please come support our outreach ministry of teens who bring their gifts of song and friendship to nursing home residents in our area. The program features holiday and inspirational songs that will put you in the best, most meaningful mood for the holiday season. Free will offering suggested.

Advent Candle Lighting
Family/Couple/Individual Needed

Every Advent season, members and friends are invited to light the advent candles and read a short passage in worship for the weeks leading up to Christmas. We have only 1 date/time open: Sunday, December 10th 9:00 am worship. It's super easy! You simply light that Sunday's candle and read the passage supplied to you. Please contact Sherry Flugel or sign up in the church lobby.
Visual Arts Ministry 

Come see the works of artist, Matt Wright, in our Artists in Residence Gallery, lower level. This one is titled Borrowing from Japan: Calligraphy and Drawings. Matt studied art at Greenville University, then later took up Calligraphy at COD under Timothy Botts. Our gallery is down the stairs from the library, in the hallway adjacent to the Parlor, or take the elevator from the lobby.  Read more.

#Giving Tuesday - Our Heifer Market Donation has been Doubled!!

By waiting to donate until "Giving Tuesday" we have doubled our donation of $1485.00 to Heifer International! By doubling our gift, the children and youth of our congregation have given the gift of the following: 2 heifers, 2 water buffalo, 2 goats, 2 sheep, 2 pigs, 2 llamas, 2 hives of bees, 2 schools of fish, 2 trios of rabbits, 4 flocks of chicks, and 4 flocks of ducks! Thanks again to all who made our annual Heifer Market possible!
Sammich-Making Help

UCC Will Match Funds

All age groups are collecting Sunday morning offering to assist victims of  Harvey, Irma, Jose  via the UCC Disaster Ministries. Please talk to your children & youth about ways they can earn money to share.  All grade levels will be collecting offering at the start of each class-time through January for this mission.
