Just three weeks away until the WSCGA hosts the Inaugural South Carolina Women's Open presented by Seabrook Island Club and Real Estate, August 10 -12. An event that started with a vision, supported by the WSCGA, and embraced by the Town of Seabrook has become a reality and is expected to be great. The tournament is open to both Women Amateurs and Women Professionals with four divisions; Open Amateur, Professional, Senior Amateur, and Senior Professional, with no residency restrictions only handicap restrictions.

The annual WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation High School Girls Golf Clinic will be at Par Tee Driving Range on August 13 from 9:00 - 2:00pm. The clinic is open to high school girl golfers in South Carolina and will focus on all aspects of the game. Five former LPGA Tour Players have committed to be apart of the one day clinic.  Anne Marie Palli   Maggie Will   Brandi Jackson   Lee Ann Walker   , and  Clarissa Childs   .

Only 300 of 2500 volunteer positions are are still available for the 2019 U.S. Women's Open Championship. The WSCGA is looking for a minimum of 50 volunteers in order to "sponsor" a hole during the Open. These positions include: Marshals, Player Services, Leader Boards, and Merchandise. Volunteer assignments come on a first- come first-served basis.
