This exhibit is about one man's use of slide film as a medium, and his love of nature, in particular our National Park System. David Stana has visited and photographed all the National Parks in the continental United States starting over 40 years ago . Learn More

The Reformation: A Journey Together

Deacon Ron Fejeran of the Diocese of Dallas and Pastor Gordon Illausky of the Christ the Servant Lutheran Church will reflect on the past 500 years since theologian and priest Martin Luther published his 95 Theses on October 1517.  The speakers aim for a more harmonious future, with insights for healing and understanding.

Celebrate the Library 's 50th
Saturday, October 14

2:00 - 4:00 pm: The Allen Public Library's Golden Anniversary celebration will include a documentary on the history of the library from its humble beginnings in a room on Main Street to its current 54,000 square foot building at 300 N. Allen Drive. A reception will follow the documentary. Learn More
7:30 pm: The Levee Singers, legends of the '60s will perform at the Library auditorium. Today the band comprises Gavin Kelso on bass, Ralph Sanford on guitar, Craig Wensel at the piano, and Ed Bernet on banjo.

 Allen Heritage Center Depot Museum

The Allen Heritage Guild maintains the Depot Museum as a repository of historic materials associated with the development of Allen. The public is invited to see and use the printed materials while visiting the museum .
