A Celebration of Pastor Angela's Ministry

Pastoral Announcement - Ted Morrison
It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Ted Morrison passed away. He now joins his wife, Monja, in heaven. He was 96 years old and a member of St. Gregory's for 30 years. He was a faithful member and attended the 8:00 AM Service on Sunday's. Ted previously served on the Vestry and on long-range planning.

He leaves behind his three daughters, Linda, Ronalee and Catherine. Please keep the Morrison Family in your prayers.  A memorial service is being planned; more information about this will be coming soon.

O God, who by the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ destroyed death, and brought life and immortality to light:  Grant that your servant Ted, being raised with him, may know the strength of his presence, and rejoice in his eternal glory; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
From Tim Brumfield, Director of Music Ministries
As I write this, I am in Boston touring with conductor Brett Karlin and the Florida Singing Sons. This past week they performed at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine with Paul Winter and the Paul Winter Consort for Paul's Summer Solstice concert as well as a post Evensong concert on Sunday evening, both of which were outstanding performances. On Tuesday we performed at Marble Collegiate church where the boys sang yet another outstanding concert.
We have two more performances, at Marsh Chapel, Boston University, and a church service on Sunday morning. The boys and young men have made me very proud and have represented South Florida in a most outstanding way.

I look forward to being back at St Gregory's next Sunday!

Tim

St. Gregory's Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Organization Update
St. Gregory's and the ECW members would like to thank Lauren Giosmas for leading the ECW over the past several years, and to Reverend Angela Cortinas who lead the ECW in the most recent interim.  With Pastor Angela's departure, Kathy Cottrell and Susan D'Ambrosio have been elected as new leaders of the ECW.  They will share the office of the president presiding over the ECW meetings, preparing agendas, and performing the duties pertinent to the office.  Kathy, a native of Boca Raton, and her family have been members of St. Gregory's for over 50 years. Susan and her family became members of St. Gregory's when they moved to Boca Raton in 1988.  Both Kathy and Susan are excited about taking a more active role in the ECW and are in the process of getting acquainted with their new responsibilities.

All women in St. Gregory's are invited to participate in the ECW monthly meetings.  All women, by virtue of their membership in the church, are considered members of the ECW.  Meetings are held at the church the first Thursday of each month starting with a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. followed by any business at hand.  The next ECW meeting will be Thursday, July 6!

Please continue to watch for more information on the ECW. You can also direct any questions about the ECW to the church office or feel free to contact Kathy and/or Susan directly.
