The Life Inventory: What You Need to Know
St. Gregory's will enter Phase 1 of the strategic planning process on October 11 with the Spiritual Life Inventory (SLI). Here's what you need to know:
  • The SLI is an online, confidential, and thought-provoking survey--a spiritual exercise in itself.
  • It takes about 20-25 minutes to complete.
  • Research gathered from the SLI guides Phase 2 of the strategic planning process that will examine other components of life at St. Gregory's: worship space, capital needs, ministry leadership and structure, staffing needs, and more.
  • The SLI is part of moving St. Gregory's from good to great.
  • To access the survey, go to our website at http://www.stgregorysepiscopal.org/ and click on "Take the Spiritual Life Inventory Here."
  • For those Parishioners that do not have access to the internet, we will have hard copies of the SLI available on Sunday for you to fill out and return to the office for submission.

Fr. Andrew calls ALL members to complete the survey. Let your voice be heard as St. Gregory's forms its next strategic plan. Plan today to set aside time for this life-giving exercise. With your help, we can shape the best plan possible for St. Gregory's.

Mark Your Calendars for the Christmas Emporium
The Christmas Emporium features over 200 gorgeous gift baskets of every description, magnificent handmade Christmas décor, and the amazing Attic Treasures section, plus Toyland, a Dollar Store, and delicious home baked goodies.  This is a major fundraiser that benefits our wonderful church and many of our worthwhile outreach ministries. Please plan to attend and please invite friends and family. It is a fabulous event - you won't be disappointed.

Getting Involved with the Emporium

Watch out for our Donation Tree in the courtyard after services in October - you can select food and beverage items needed for gift baskets.  Donation checks made out to St. Gregory's ECW are also very welcome.

Other Donations: We can only use items in GOOD CONDITION for our Attic Treasures, Toyland, Jewelry Boutique, and Dollar Store. We especially need collectibles, porcelain, and nicer household items for Attic Treasures. Donations can be dropped off to the ECW Room anytime during church office hours or on Sundays after the 10 a.m. service.

For more information or if you are interested in helping, call or email Lauren Giosmas at 954.481.2236 or  [email protected].

Watch the Rector's Bible Study Online
The Rector's Bible Study officially started last month, but it's never too late to join! This year's focus is the assigned Sunday Bible readings to help readers gain extra insight into sermons and a fuller understanding of the passages. The group meets on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. in Harris Hall. You can watch the Rector's Bible Study from your computer or mobile device at  LiveStream.com by searching St. Gregory's Episcopal Church.

Save the Date: Congregation-Wide Pot Luck Dinner
On Friday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. the St. Gregory's Parenting Group is sponsoring an international pot luck dinner. Everyone in the congregation is invited to attend and to bring a favorite international dish to share. A dish featuring your own cultural heritage would be wonderful, though any internationally-themed item would be welcome (think something other than Domino's pizza and KFC!!). Please note that there will be no Parenting Group meeting that night -- we will simply gather in Harris Hall and enjoy a festive evening together. Come one, come all and bring a friend or two! For more information, please contact Jeanne Leonelli at [email protected].
Escape Your Pew for a Life ALTAR-ing Experience

We are looking for young folks and families to join us on the altar at the Sunday services doing cool stuff like carrying a cross (God's "Selfless Stick") or a flaming torch, striking a bell with a mallet, pouring water from a flask to wash the hands of the priests, and marching in parades down the aisles.

Come learn to be an acolyte (altar server) on Sunday, October 18, following the 10 a.m. worship service. Please meet us in the chapel area. Ages 8 and up (way up!) are welcome. We would love to schedule families to work together on the altar!

This is an introductory lesson for new acolytes led by Verger Char Vinik and her husband, Steve. If you wish to join the altar server ministry, Char will schedule you to serve at your convenience. All are welcome to get involved. Why don't you give it a try? Low stressed and highly blessed!

Noteworthy Blogs
St. Gregory's now has a blog! In the coming months, we plan to feature video entries from Fr. Andrew, guest posts from performers in our 2015-16 Concert Series, and much more. You can access the blog on our website under "About Us."

Sanctuary Lamps Available
Is there someone special in your life you would like to recognize?  A very special way to do so is with a donation for the Sanctuary Lamp either in thanksgiving for or in memory of that person.

The lamp, which burns continuously, is located in the church during services and in the Chapel of St. Mary at all other times. The name of those honored will be acknowledged in the bulletin and in the Prayers of the People. The requested donation for the sanctuary lamp is $25 per week, and weeks begin on Sunday.

To reserve, contact Leslie Ross at  [email protected]   or 561-395-8285.

Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
