CPL Reads
|
|
CPL Reads is a Facebook group dedicated to monthly book discussions. Each week we pose a few questions for our members to comment on and share their thoughts whenever it is convenient for them!
February's book pick is
The Jane Austen Project by Kathleen Flynn. There is is still time to read the book and join us.
England, 1815: Two travelers-Rachel Katzman and Liam Finucane-arrive in a field, disheveled and weighed down with hidden money. They are not what they seem, but colleagues from a technologically advanced future, posing as a doctor and his spinster sister. While Rachel and Liam aren't the first team of time travelers, their mission is the most audacious yet: meet, befriend, and steal from Jane Austen.
Our pick for March is The Address by Fiona Davis. To join the group, click here and submit your request.

American Heart Month
|
|
February is American Heart Month. The Chandler Public Library is doing its part, with the American Heart Association, to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease - which is the leading cause of death for men and women in America - and the importance of heart health.
How can the library help? You can find a wealth of medical information in
Health and Wellness Resource Center, a resource database collected from medical journals, encyclopedias, and other health-related publications. Check out health & fitness magazines from our
RB Digital magazine database. (Check out as many issues as you want and keep them as long as you like - there are no due dates!) All these resources are free to you with your library card and PIN numbers.
You can also browse for books in the library. Check the nonfiction shelf in the 610s for our health books, with books on heart disease at 616.12. We've also put together a
list of fiction and non-fiction books for you with "Heart" in the titles!
