3M is now cloudLibrary

Our exclusive eBook and eAudiobook lending platform has changed its name
You'll still have access to the same great eBook and eAudiobook service, but you'll notice the app has a fresh new logo design. The updated icon design was released last month as an update to the desktop application, smartphone and tablet app. No other major changes were made to the app apart from the icon logo update and name change. The cloudLibrary app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Android Phones, Android Tablets, NOOK Tablets, NOOK eReaders, Kobo eReaders and Kindle Fires.

If you have never use the cloudLibrary, here are some reasons why you should be using it!

Easily browse and checkout eBooks and AudioBooks
The browsing and selection process is simple and can be done within a few simple clicks. You can select a featured title or browse the collection by category. Once you select a title, it's immediately accessible on your personal bookshelf across all interfaces and devices. Download titles to take them with you and enjoy anywhere, or quickly stream titles over an internet connection.

Read or listen across multiple devices
cloudLibrary automatically syncs to all your devices that have the cloudLibrary App downloaded to them. You can start reading or listening on your iPad and continue reading or listening later from your phone - right where you've left off.

Take notes and create bookmarks
If you'd like to take notes while reading or bookmark your spot, a simple click at the top of the screen allows you to jot down notes and create a bookmark to save for later.

No late fees!
No overdues, no fines. After you are finished reading, cloudLibrary simply returns your eBook back to the library. You don't have to do a thing!

Listen wherever, whenever
With our eBook lending app, cloudLibrary, you can listen to eAudiobooks during your commute, on a long road trip, during a workout or while you iron your shirt in the morning! eAudiobooks sync across all of your devices, so you'll never lose your spot throughout the day.

For technical assistance with the cloudLibrary app, please go to our website, www.chandlerlibrary.org, visit any of our four locations or call 480-782-2800.

Our Stories Speaker Series continues on October 24
Chandler's Our Stories Speaker Series continues with three
presentations that explore the shared history we all have through music. Our Stories is an ongoing series of Chandler and Arizona history presentations by guest speakers sharing stories and first-person accounts that are enhanced with multimedia presentations, demonstrations and music. The series is free, open to the public and presented by the Chandler Museum, Chandler Public Library and Chandler Historical Society.

The Chandler Sunset Library hosts Ghost Riders in the Sky: The Story and Songs of Stan Jones at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. Speakers Michael Ward and Keeter Stuart delve into the life and music of western songwriter Stan Jones. An Arizona native, Jones wrote classic cowboy songs such as "Cowpoke" and "Burro Lullaby." His most famous song, "Ghost Riders in the Sky," has been performed by Johnny Cash, The Outlaws, and many more. Keeter Stuart, who is the great nephew of Jones, will perform classic western songs his uncle Stan wrote.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, Chandler Basha Library, located at 5990 S. Val Vista Drive, presents Swing into History at 10:30 a.m.  Speaker and music historian Erik Larson will discuss the influence and legacy of big band music and musicians such as Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby and Ella Fitzgerald. Larson also will play recordings from his personal collection and share historical trivia. This program is made possible by Arizona Humanities.

We look forward to seeing you there!
After School with Teens!
Give us your moody, your tired, your bored masses - give us your teenagers! Did you know all four Chandler libraries offer programming specifically geared for your favorite 12-to-18-year-old?

The Downtown Library offers teens two hours of Super Mega Awesome Recreational Teentime (S.M.A.R.T.) each Wednesday from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. During this weekly program, teens can use computers, hang out and talk, or work on their homework. If computer gaming is more your teen's thing, they can stop by any Monday from 3:00PM to 4:30PM for some Minecraft and an opportunity to try out the Oculus Rift.
Does your teen enjoy playing Minecraft but you live closer to Hamilton?  No problem, they can play weekly at the Hamilton Library as well.  Hamilton offers Minecraft once a week along with an afterschool hangout twice a week that features gaming and other teen approved activities.

Sunset Library's Teen Scene is open each Wednesday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.  Teen Scene is a teen-only space for youth to play video games or just hang out and catch up with friends.  Have a teen book lover in your life? Perfect! Sunset hosts their Teen Book Lovers club on the third Wednesday of each month.  This hour long program starts at 4:30PM and offers teens the chance to discuss, review and promote books they've read.

Basha Library opens The Grizzly Cave Monday through Thursday from 2:15PM to 3:15PM for teens to decompress after a long school day and participate in fun activities like coloring, button making and water bottle flipping contests. Bear Central, a teens-only computer space, is open Monday through Friday from 2:15PM to 4:00PM.

All four libraries offer Teen Create-Space at least once a month. Teen Create-Space offers teens a chance to take part in a different S.T.E.A.M. related activity at each program.

So whether you have a bored one at home or a tired one waiting for a ride after school, be sure to check our calendar and send those teens on over!
