The Story Behind Arts in the Parks

CultureLink got on board with a new city-wide initiative this summer. Arts in the Parks brings free, family-friendly arts events and activities to parks all over Toronto. Think theatre performances, dance classes, workshops, movies, festivals and more, right in your backyard! Arts in the Parks encourages community building, enjoyment of local parks, and offers arts events for residents and tourists of all ages.
Mentorship Gets Results
Mohamed is a hardworking, results driven financial services representative from Bangladesh, who came to Canada at the beginning of 2017. As excited as anyone could be with starting his new life in Canada and finding a job to support his family, he started applying for jobs online. However, with no success. Time was passing and life in Canada is very expensive. He got to know about CultureLink from his settlement worker...
The Art of Body Language

Introducing a new CultureLink partner - the Cultural Exchange and Support Initiative of the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations at the University of Toronto. NMC-CESI is an educational group that was founded by a group of students in spring 2016. Its goal is to create a friendly space for Syrian newcomers on campus and a network of resources between the University of Toronto and other Canadian universities, governmental and non-governmental organizations and communities. The group meets every Saturday. CultureLink's Settlement Workers in Schools program is partnering with NMC-CESI to provide training sessions on a variety of topics suggested by the Syrian youth. On September 16, Ebraham Kanaan from SWIS presented "The Art of Body Language" to an appreciative audience.
