As Cy-Hope closes the chapter on another school year, we find ourselves reflective and grateful for all of the volunteers that make our work possible. As some of our Hope Center kids reflected on why they love Cy-Hope at our Volunteer Appreciation dinner on May 2, we heard reasons like having a place to go after school, forging a relationship with a mentor that they could look up to and who made learning fun, knowing a snack and help with homework were right around the corner, and getting rewarded with leadership opportunities for good attendance and completing assignments. We even heard from students who have since moved out of one of our Hope Center communities whose parents drive them back, just so they can attend Hope Center events and see old friends. This time of year reminds us about the importance of relationships. Please know how grateful Cy-Hope feels for the relationship we have with our community, our schools, our families, and with you!
