A VISIT TO THE VETERANS
MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Volunteers and seniors recently visited the Veterans Memorial Museum in Balboa Park where they enjoyed an informative lecture about the Red Poppy. After the visit, everyone enjoyed an outdoor lunch by the fountain.

Colonel Robert Dingeman presented the museum with a photograph of the Japanese surrender signature ceremony aboard the USS Missouri.  The photo belonged to the Colonel's father and was a touching donation that will be enjoyed by many future visitors to the museum.
