IPAY: International Performing Arts for Youth

What's New for Showcase 2018?
Boomer Stacey, IPAY Executive Director, highlights exciting
new additions to our 40th Anniversary conference.

Dear IPAY Community,

In our ongoing efforts to better serve the community and to meet the needs of artists, presenters, producers, agents and all in our field, we continue to make improvements to Showcase and evolve our primary event.

We utilize feedback from Showcase surveys, reflection time, board and staff evaluations and facilitated focus group sessions; incorporate best practices from our colleague organizations; and learn from past success and failures. All to bring you a better Showcase.

We are excited to share that there are several new programs and initiatives that will debut at Showcase 2018.

New in 2018, we are introducing Off-IPAY Independent Showcases, Affinity Groups, Dine Out with IPAY, and a more dynamic Spotlight program. Don't worry - many favorites are coming back this year as well, including refreshments in the Exhibit Hall, and the return of Showcase Lounge in the evenings; the reinstatement of Cultural Spotlights; and a robust Kindling program! Read on and discover What's New for Showcase 2018.

IPAY has also joined forces with TYA/USA to kick off our 40th Anniversary Showcase with a full day  pre-conference on January 23, with the generous support of Australia Council on the Arts and the Embassy of Australia.

We look forward to bringing these new initiatives to you for Showcase 2018, and as always, we appreciate your feedback on how to keep evolving and better serving your needs. See you in Philadelphia!

New for Showcase 2018! Off-IPAY Independent Showcases
For the first time Artists, Producers, and Agents can present an official Off-IPAY Independent Showcase Performance which run at times within the conference schedule that do not conflict with official IPAY Showcase programming.  More opportunities to see performances! More opportunities for IPAY Members to Showcase!

This year's Off-IPAY schedule features boundary-pushing new work from North American companies -- to be seen at FringeArts, Caplan Studio Theatre, and the Prince Theatre. Off-IPAY even includes a touring residency in a local school from Missoula Children's Theater.

Theatre SKAM will perform Off-IPAY Independent Showcases of Fashion Machine at FringeArts

Delegates must make reservations directly with Off-IPAY Showcasing companies  here.
IPAY is HOME in Philadelphia
HOME is the theme of our 40th Anniversary Showcase in 2018 and Philadelphia is now the official home of both IPAY and of Showcase.

Dine Out with IPAY!
To help welcome new attendees and to get to know our Philly home IPAY Board members will host Dine Out with IPAY  on Wednesday January 24.  Email info@ipayweb.org to sign up.
IPAY Affinity Groups at Showcase
Join with other members of the IPAY community for lunchtime meetings on Thursday January 25 and Friday January 26 where you may share knowledge, ask questions, exchange ideas, discuss trends, share resources, and address challenges.

You may choose one or two different Affinity Groups for the two lunchtime meetings when you register for Showcase 2018. Year-round meetings for each Affinity Group will be determined by the delegates who participate in these early meetings. Help us shape this new initiative!  Affinity Groups have been formed for the following areas:
