Girl Scout Cookie Time is Here!
Girl Scouts of Louisiana - Pines to the Gulf cookie pre-order sale began January 20, 2012 and end on February 5. After which, direct sales (booth sales) begin March 2 and finish March 18.  This year Girl Scouts of Louisiana - Pines to the Gulf will boast eight flavors of cookies, including a new lemon flavored cookie called Savannah Smiles.  The Savannah Smiles cookie is named after the city, Savannah, GA, in which the first Girl Scout Troop was started 100 years ago.   The cookies will be available for only $4 a box and do "more than you know".   read more here...

Animal Fun Fact...
Elephants can swim - they use their trunk to breathe like a snorkel in deep water.
Add A Member 2012

Girl Scout members who recruit a friend who joins Girl Scouts can receive an official 2012 Add-A-Member patch.  Please note that girls recruited are not required to join a troop.  For example, Girl Scouts can receive the Add-A-Member patch for friends that register to attend an event or go to camp!  Download and print the form from the council website.  Service units may also request patches for girls who invite a friend to attend service unit events. Ask your membership specialist for patches.
