The NAMI Salt Lake Affiliate is pleased to announce that they are partnering with our NAMI Wasatch-Summit Affiliate to start two new classes next month!

 

A Family to Family Class and a BRIDGES class will be held at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City starting May 6, 2015, and going until July 22, 2015. Call 801-810-6083 to register!

May is Mental Health Month and NAMI Utah has a lot of exciting events planned! 

 

May 9, 2015  NAMI Utah  Hikes Southwest

Owens Loop Trail, St. George. More Information on the NAMI Utah Southwest Affiliate web site.

The hike starts at 9:00 am.  

 

May 16, 2015 NAMI Utah Hikes Salt Lake Affiliate   

Meet up at 9:00 am @ the Big Cottonwood Canyon Park and Ride - NE corner of the Big Cottonwood Canyon Road and Wasatch Boulevard. We will proceed at 10:00 am towards two hiking destinations: Desolation Lake Trail or Donut Falls, both at Mill D trailhead.  Donations to benefit NAMI Utah Salt Lake Affiliate can be made here.

ACCESS DENIED 
A new groundbreaking study from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) shows that 
Utah has 15,312 uninsured people ages 18-64 with a serious mental health disorder who were projected to access services under Medicaid expansion.

Please contact your legislator and ask them to support Medicaid expansion. #mentalhealthmatters
