Have you got the time and the skills to share?
The New Forest Centre is looking to appoint specialist trustees and advisors to help steer the charitable trust that runs the Centre through an exciting development phase over the next few years.

 

In particular, we are looking for volunteers with experience in NF Centre Logo on front elevation

  • finance and fundraising
  • marketing and PR
  • libraries and collections

EXHIBITIONS

 

Live and Unleashed by New Forest Transition
Until 23 November 2014
10am to 5pm daily (last admissions at 4.30pm)
What do a bunch of carrots... a thermal imaging camera... a veg basket... a pizza oven... and a denim globe have in common?  Come and find out....!
This exhibition is a celebration of how local people are working together for a better future for the New Forest by just doing stuff - and feeling all the better for it.  There are a number of family activities to join in with throughout the exhibition


Horse and the Landscape by Danny Byrne
Saturday 29 November 2014 to Sunday 4 January 2015
10am to 5pm daily (last admissions at 4.30pm)

Back by popular demand, Danny Byrne, the runaway winner of Park Culture's People's Prize 2013, will be exhibiting traditional and unique equestrian, landscape and figurative scenes of the New Forest, along with portraits of many of the Forest's local characters.  Your chance to see more of this unique talent.

The Barn Owl by Mike Read

The barn owl is one of our most loved and enigmatic birds.  This fascinating talk features Mike's superb photography and entertaining commentary.

Lyndhurst Fun Day

The New Forest Centre is delighted to be hosting a producers' indoor market during Lyndhurst's Christmas Fun Day.  Mouthwatering cakes, hearty pies, carefully-reared meat and traditional New Forest crafts - you will find all this and more under the banner of the New Forest Marque.

On Christmas Fun Day we always throw open the doors to our New Forest Museum with FREE ENTRY FOR ALL.
