Letter from the BOD President:
Hello!

I am happy to announce that we have officially kicked off our 2016 - 2017 season!  The River's Edge School of Music is in full swing, and we have a lot of programs and events that will be kicking off over the next few weeks.  Please read below for all of the details...

Many of you know that the organization is going through a lot of change.  Last month, you probably read about Kat's resignation as ED.  We will also be losing Danielle Moskowitz, our Program Manager later this month (see below for details).

Change is never easy, but the Board of Directors is committed to supporting the organization.  We are taking a hard look at the day to day activities to understand what are staffing needs will be for the future.  In the interim, members of the BOD are taking on the tasks necessary to keep the organization running.

The board will also be focusing on the future of the organization over the next few months.  We will be asking questions about our members and the community...  What are the artistic needs of Hudson and the surrounding communities?  What programs make sense in the future?  Are there other opportunities that we should explore in the future?

As we go through this transition, we want to hear from our members, stakeholders, and supporters about what your suggestions are for the future.  We hope to schedule a BOD "meet and greet" within the next month or so.  You can also send your ideas to: bod@upwitharts.org

On a personal note, I am honored to be serving as President of the REAA BOD.  I look forward to working with members of the board and the community throughout the season!

Staffing updates...

In September, our Program Director Danielle Moskowitz tendered her resignation.  Danielle is leaving to pursue running her own business, "Dinner By Danielle".  Danielle will be staying on through the first week of October and she has graciously agreed to also meet with me as I continue to learn about some of the day-to-day office activities.  Danielle will also be Producing our 2nd Annual Nutcracker Tea event in early December.

The board would like to thank Danielle for all of her hard work and we wish her well on her new business venture.  If you have any questions or concerns about any programs that Danielle was supporting, please send an e-mail to: BOD@upwitharts.org
