Black History Month Program - Mark your Calendars!
Sunday, February 28, 3:30 PM
Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church in Newark (64 E. Church St. - by the Post Office) will be holding their Black History Month Program on Sunday, Feb. 28th, from 3:30 PM. In the program: Bertie Cole as Harriet Tubman, and Rev. Brian Wynn as Bishop Richard Allen and Dwight Davidson as the white minister of St. George's Methodist Church in Philadelphia who refuses to allow (later AME founder) Allen and other African-American congregants to pray at the front of the church! Sounds like a fun time of learning, reflection and fellowship.
