Yom HaShoah Commemoration
Holocaust Remembrance Day

Thursday, April 12

The Florida Holocaust Museum invites the community to visit the Museum FREE of charge all day on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in observance of Yom HaShoah.

This year’s commemoration will include free Museum admission from 10am – 5pm and the reading of Holocaust Victims’ names continuously throughout the day.

At 5:30pm, the Memorial Service will lead by Rabbi David Weizman and Rabbi Danielle Upbin. Followed by a special Holocaust Survivor talk with sisters Marie Silverman and Jeannette Bornstein.

Wednesday, April 18 – 7:00pm – Jerusalem U presents their new film, “When the Smoke Clears: A Story of Brotherhood, Resilience and Hope” in the CBS Peltz Social Hall. Join Jews from across the globe for a first of its kind screening and discussion of this compelling new film. Free program.

Saturday, April 28 –12:00pm - “With Love from Israel” - Israel at 70. A lunch & learn panel discussion following Shabbat services. The panel includes: Yael Mor (the federation Shlicha), Tali Stilwell and Elan Levy (both born in Israel), Larry Eliachar (who served in the IDF) and Sarah Michaels (a recent participant in Birthright Israel). Open to everyone!

PINELLAS JEWISH COMMUNITY YOM HA'ATZMAUT EVENT
  • It's Israel's 70th birthday! Featuring a sing-a-long led by Rabbi Danielle Upbin and Blake Lenett. JOB SEARCH BOOT CAMP
  • In partnership with Congregation B’nai Israel of St. Petersburg, Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services, and the Jewish Federation of Pinellas and Pasco Counties, TampaBay-Job-Links (TBJL) will present a full-day Job-Search Boot Camp providing vital tools and strategies to help individuals in career transition kick their job search into high gear. The workshop will take place at Congregation B’nai Israel, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Advance registration required. Seating is limited, so reserve a space today!
