May 2016 President's message

Dear Friends,

Happy May!

If you take a good look at our mission statement you will agree with me when I say, Mission accomplished! Because of your support and dedication, we are literally hitting our goals of empowering, promoting and nurturing our members, bringing jobs to the community through production and reaching out in supporting education in our Valley. I thank each and every one of you.
Our most recent events, the screening of "When Voices Meet" with Sharon Katz and Shari Belafonte, together with the participation of members on the movie set of " Do it or Die" staring Denise DuBarry Hay and directed by Yorn Winther are perfect examples of our outreach.

Please plan on attending the May 18th event at Arnold Palmer's Restaurant where we will have an opportunity to network, enjoy wonderful food, and also give scholarship dollars to local High Schools. I look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you all for your consideration and enthusiasm.
My best,

The event benefited PSWIFT Scholarships, BookPals, and the filmmaker, Sharon Katz, who is organizing a "Peace Train" here in the United States starting on July 4th from Ferguson, MO ending on July 18th at the South African Embassy in Washington, DC.
