2018-19 Theme Verse:
Follow God

In John 8:12, Jesus is speaking to a large group of people, declaring, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When I was in college, I had the opportunity to experience being deep in a cave on an expedition with friends of mine. At one point, our guide told us we were about a quarter mile underground and asked us all to switch off our headlamps. The darkness was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. In the moment, I was appreciative of our small headlamps to help guide us through (and out) of the cave. There is a strong parallel to Jesus within this idea. In a dark world overcome by sin, where truth is defined differently by so many, Jesus is our guide, our light. When we follow Him, when we are guided by Him, He will lead us not only in this life but to eternal life with Him.

Meet RCE Campus Secretary, Mrs. Kiagiri
I have been an RCS parent for two years, and in that time I have loved seeing the values lived out and the encouraging way the teachers shepherd the children, especially with the growth mindset. Opportunities to volunteer in their classes have given me a chance to be an active part of their education process. As a new member of the RCS staff, my high point so far was having members of the faculty come and pray for me – I can’t even begin to express what that means to me. Knowing that the leadership, faculty and staff are dependent on God and show it through consistent prayer is priceless. The warmth and encouragement I have already received from those I have met has been tremendous. Click here to see where Mrs. Kiagiri is from, her interests, and more about her family...
