When you think of the most romantic on-screen couples of all time, who come to mind? Bogart and Bergman in "Casablanca" - Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr in "An Affair to Remember" - Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in "Dirty Dancing" - Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman" - the list goes on and on. We hope you agree with our choice - Julie Andrews ("Maria") and Christopher Plummer ("Count von Trapp" singing "Something Good" in the most romantic scene ever, from "The Sound of Music"!

"...but somewhere in my youth - or childhood - I must have done something good!"

Wisdom according to 4-8 year olds...

A group of professional people asked a group of 4 to 8 year-olds: "What does love mean?" Here are a few of the answers. Some will make you laugh; others will make you stop and think. Enjoy!
  • "Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. ~ Emily, age 8
  • "Love is the most important thing in the world, but baseball is pretty good too." ~ Greg, age 8
  • "Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."~ Mary Ann, age 4
  • "You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget." ~ Jessica, age 8
  • "I think you're supposed to get shot with an arrow or something, but the rest of it isn't supposed to be so painful." ~ Manuel, age 8
  • On being asked when it is okay to kiss someone: "If it's your mother, you can kiss her anytime. But if it's a new person, you have to ask permission." ~ Roger, age 6
Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor, an elderly gentleman, had recently lost his wife. When he saw the man cry, the little boy went into his neighbor's yard,

climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing . I just helped him cry."
