HAPPY NEW YEAR GMAR REALTORS AND AFFILIATES!

What a crazy ride we have been on the last couple of years. Many ups and downs depending on which side of the transaction we have been on.  With such limited inventory the tide changed very quickly after the recession and unfortunately, with that, many more complaints and disputes among us.  Mediation and arbitration skyrocketed.

My hope for 2018 is that we all take time to remember that the term Co-broke is short for "Cooperating - Broker".    Meaning; we cooperate to the best of our Clients intentions to bring the parties together for a successful outcome.

It also means respecting each other's Client and Customer relationships.  We do not want to put the Consumer at risk by not thoroughly explaining Buyer Agency or by being overzealous in procuring cause cases.

"Six essential qualities that are the key to success: Sincerity, personal integrity, humility, courtesy, wisdom, charity." - Dr. William Menninger

Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2018!

SPOTLIGHT ON MALE AGENTS' SAFETY IN 2017

REALTOR® Safety is an important concept for all real estate professionals to understand, but staying safe in the field is often framed as a particular concern for female agents. Such a mind frame can leave men more vulnerable to attack when they think they have less to worry about.

This year, we addressed safety specifically for male agents in an article that drew a heated debate among commenters and easily skyrocketed to our top safety story of 2017.

Click here to see the five most popular well-being articles of the year, covering not just safety but also health and work-life balance.

REAL - REALTOR EXCHANGE AND LEARNING

M y Fellow Agents!

It is time to reflect and look forward to next year! Time to discuss what worked well and what did not in 2017. Members can discuss trends that are emerging with buyers and sellers.  We will also talk about new ideas for next year and technology we should all be using.

As you know, our group is comprised of agents from every real estate company. No one will ever be asked to speak or even introduce themselves , so you can come and just listen!

We usually have about 40 agents attending so please respond to this email to let me know if you think you'll be at the meeting. We'll have donuts and coffee. If anyone wants to volunteer to bring donuts that would be great!

Meeting: Monday, January 22, 2018
