Aveda Chapel Hill is a drop off location for "Cinderella's Closet" - an outreach project that collects new and gently used formal dresses and accessories for juniors and seniors at Carrboro High School who could not otherwise afford to attend their prom. New Exhibit Opening at FRANK  StoryMakers: an exhibit of narrative art at FRANK

STORYMAKERS opens at FRANK with a public reception on Friday, March 11 from 7PM to 9PM. STORYMAKERS is a member and invitational exhibit focusing on narrative imagery. The show will highlight the work of invited artists Aggie Zed, Quentin Warshauer, Kirsten Stingle, Charlotte Foust, Patrick Fitzgerald, Henryk Fantazos, and Nancy Baker. Participating FRANK artists will be Luna Lee Ray, Sudie Rakusin, Michele Maynard, Jean LeCluyse, Jane Filer, and Carmen Elliot. Showing of Adam's Rib at Varsity Theatre

The Women's Center will host a showing of the classic movie Adam's Rib on Friday, March 11 at the Varsity Theatre. This 1940s classic showscases an intense battle of the sexes between Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, whose characters are pitted against each other as lawyers on opposite sides of the same case! Ackland Art-Ventures for Kids

On Saturday, March 12 from 10:30AM to 12:00PM  join Ackland for Magic Mountains, next in the popular series of engaging Saturday morning classes for 6-9 year olds taught by National Board Certified Art Teacher Tamela Davis and other educators. Middle School Summer Camp spots are still open for rising 6th to 9th graders at Street Scene Teen Center! The structured, recreational curriculum includes arts and crafts, swimming, movies, field trips, games, character education, a book club, guest speakers and more.
