Ogie Shaw - What to do about Childhood Obesity?

Ogie Shaw is a native of Raleigh, NC. After 4 years in US Army Intelligence including a year in Viet Nam, he attended the University of NC at Chapel Hill. He graduated with degrees in both Speech and Physical Education. He has a Master of Sacred Ministry degree from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He earned a Certificate as a Health Promotion Director from The Cooper Institute Ò in Dallas, Texas. He was recruited to the Northwest by the Portland Police Bureau where he was presented a commendation by the Chief after only two months as a police officer. He left police work to become a national fitness speaker and consultant teaching the health benefits of daily exercise. He has been an author, counselor, pastor, and conditioning consultant to professional sports teams.
Ogie has been married to his wife Julie  for 30 years. Julie is a George Fox University seminary graduate and Licensed Tax Consultant. They have 3 kids; Chris is a graduate of Morehouse College and works in engineering in Seattle. Tyler graduated from Azusa Pacific University in California in Film Directing. He was a part of the team that made the winning Super Bowl commercial three years ago. Daughter Lynley has been  a Color Guard coach at Century High School, and just graduated from George Fox University in Oregon majoring in Elementary Education.

Elmer Stancil, Deputy Director of the State Road & Tollway Authority and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority

Elmer Stancil is the Deputy Director at the State Road & Tollway Authority (SRTA) and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA).  In that role he provides executive leadership and strategic guidance for the agency's major initiatives in tolling, transit, and innovative transportation financing. 
Prior to joining SRTA and GRTA, Elmer spent nearly a decade at the Georgia Department of Economic Development, where he worked directly with businesses locating to Georgia including: NCR, Caterpillar, Baxter International, and Mercedes-Benz.  Elmer was also strong advocate for the film industry and helped facilitate the passage of the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act in 2008. 
An energetic community supporter, he is active member of the Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club and serves on the Georgia Erosion and Sediment Council.  Elmer is a graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission's Regional Leadership Institute, Lead Atlanta, Leadership Georgia, and served for seven years as a firefighter with the Oconee County Fire Department and Peachtree City Fire Department.
Elmer holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Georgia. A native of Watkinsville, Georgia Elmer lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
