I will never forget a sermon preached by Gary Oliver!
He told the TRUE story about his young son at Christmas time.
The son longed for/PRAYED FOR a shiny new bike and when he arose on Christmas
morning, THERE IT WAS, parked under the Christmas Tree.
Upon spying HIS bike, the little boy began to jubilantly SING AND DANCE,
shouting out in GLEE and DISBELIEF- "FOR ME?, FOR ME?, FOR ME!!!!!?????
He was OVERJOYED and AMAZED that his father had heard his PLEA/PRAYER
and answered his PLEA/PRAYER for he and he only!!!!!

My own son, JOSHUA, called me last week, which is NOT unusual-the time of the call was.
He has been confined to an 8X8 prison cell, 23 out of 24 hours a day for several years now while on death row.
He has a BURNING NEED/DESIRE/PRAYER to PREACH the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those "outside the walls!"
He has nothing else in this life to live for!
He has had to rely on others to help him PREACH outside the walls and had become increasingly despondent and depressed because few outside the wall had time to help him.
He called me, EXUBERANTLY EXCITED because in his grubby little hands, he held a "modern" keyboard-perhaps some kind of computer?
He had just been given it and told by his guards that SOON he would be able to actually EMAIL!!!!!!
HIS LONG FOUGHT PRAYER WAS ANSWERED!!!!
He said to me, "Dad, I believe God did this JUST FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!"

One last TRUE story before I close.
A man who was ordained with me on March 29, 1991, had a similar PRAYER answered.
His name was Harold Moore and he worked for the U.S Post Office.
He NEEDED and WANTED a raise in pay!!!
He PRAYED and the government GAVE the entire Post Office a significant RAISE!!!
God gave the ENTIRE POST OFFICE a RAISE just for Harold!!!!
