Over the past few months we have shipped 1000’s of care packages to Troops in Harm’s Way serving Our Nation, a trailer full of supplies to Sailors aboard the USS McCain, last night 130 to Veterans and Military members working recovery efforts in Texas. We have granted cars and assisted with registration and insurance. We have granted $1,000 to a Vietnam Veteran who needed a vehicle when we couldn’t receive one to grant. We have assisted with clothing and food gift cards when our pantries were low or items not in stock was available. We have purchased dozens of new mattresses sets when we have assisted veterans when transitioning from shelters to housing. If you’re on our social media pages or volunteer with us, you know the passion we out into our mission. We maintain the Veterans Activity Center (“The VAC”), which between rent and utilities cost in the area of $2,500 per month. We maintain two trailers that have been used to move 100’s of veteran transitioning into housing.
We are 100% Volunteer and no one receives compensation or benefits. Our bank accounts are currently low as we do not fundraise until we need too, and we are currently at that time. We are also this month paying our annual insurances of $6,000 and our accountant bill of $4,8000.
Boots on the Ground NY is a 501c19 Veteran charity organization, all donations go towards the cause.
We are now asking for financial donations so we may continue our mission. We need to raise $10,000 over the next two months to get through the year
You can make tax deductible safe secure donations at www.BootsontheGroundNY.com/donate
there are options for one-time donations or monthly subscribed donations. Checks can also be made payable to Boots on the Ground NY and mailed to PO Box 675 Bellport NY 11713. Members will never solicit for cash.
On behalf of the Veterans we assist and that utilize the VAC, We Thank You.
