Stolen Wheelchairs found in pieces...
SportAbility of Iowa's broken "Chairiots" found in Fairfax, IA.

Thieves not only stole SportAbility of Iowa's "chairiots" in December, but now almost half of the sport wheelchairs were discovered a few weeks ago in Fairfax, IA, hacked into pieces! One usable chair was also found.

Without these "chairiots" our athletes cannot participate in sport and recreation programs designed especially for their disabilities.

And it isn't just about the chairs. It's about getting kids and adults of all ages with disabilities into the activities the rest of us take for granted. It's about building confidence and adapting to life's challenges. It's about resiliency. These chairs are much more than just a means to play a sport or participate in a recreational activity.

These chairs represent the attitude that is SportAbility:

Adapt and Overcome.

More on Accessible Travel
Websites help people with disabilities unravel the mysteries...

This website is a place to share information with others with disabilities who love RVing. It is a club with membership dues and is open to anyone with and without disabilities, although it focuses on accessible travel.

This website highlights the travels of a couple who has seen it all! The best aspect of this site is the advice they offer; through their experiences they tell you what to plan for, what to expect, and what to watch out for.

TravAbled is a website that offers travel advice from people who have visited the places you want to go. They also offer booking tools so you don't have to leave the site to book your travel plans.
