When actions speak louder than words

The terrorist sponsoring Iranian Ayatollah government has been trying to develop a nuclear weapon for decades, but it has denied such accusations and dismissed them with esoteric talk of providing energy to Iran and the rest of the Middle East, except of course, Israel. For years, Islamist Mohamed El Baradei, the head of the United Nations Atomic Energy Agency, served as the gatekeeper for Iran's nuclear program, claiming repeatedly that Iran was not developing nuclear weapons. The Bush Administration did little to pressure Iran to stop, apart from sanctions and lip service. The current Administration has turned a blind eye, has negotiated with Iran, and is allowing it to proceed post haste.

Now the Daily Caller is reporting that founder of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, General Mohsen Rafiqdoost, admitted that "We pursued ways in order to gain nuclear arms." He then said that the Ayatollah told him to stop and he did. The Daily Caller reports, however, "But that claim falls short of the truth. In the late 1980s, a letter by Mohsen Rezaei, then the chief commander of the Guards, asking Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, for approval of the nuclear bomb program was revealed. It showed the leader had approved of seeking nuclear weapons." There are a lot of claims that fall short of the truth and they all seem to lead to allowing the most radical of radicals to develop a nuclear weapon.

The current Administration thought it best to open discussions with the terrorist nation--something that previous presidents refused to do. Iran does not recognize the right of Israel to exist as a country. It calls America the Great Satan. Its leaders have repeatedly said that Israel should be removed from the face of the earth--and it has done so in its own maps. But the occupant of the Oval Office is consumed with Islamic progression as stated in his New Beginnings speech in Cairo in June of 2009. He has chatted on the phone with Iran and has participated in negotiations that ostensibly will lead to Iran being allowed to develop nuclear power for "peaceful purposes."

What the pro-Islamic politicians in this administration won't publicly admit to, in the unlikelihood of their naivet do not understand, or understand fully, is that Iran's peaceful intentions are derived from the Koran and Islamic tradition. "Peaceful purposes" means the peace of Islam, which means submission to Islam. Iran intends to build the bomb and use it as leverage to gain hegemony. On the surface, it is in competition with the president's foreign policy partner, the Muslim Brotherhood. In reality, both want an Islamic Caliphate and they will fight among themselves who gets to run it. The US president is assisting them in attaining it. 2 Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Paying attention to actions over words is key to avoiding deception.
