It's not about the answer, it's about keeping your eyes on Me.
There I was. Talking to God. Pouring out my heart.
God, I need an answer. I need to know.
For weeks...months really...I'd been contending with God.
I had a question. A question I wanted an answer to. A question I felt I deserved an answer to.
And so there I was again. Asking. Begging. Almost demanding.
God, I need an answer. What do You want to say?
And that's when He said: It's not about the answer, it's about keeping your eyes on Me.
And I knew I had my answer.
Keep your eyes on Me.
Whatever happens.
Whatever you do. Wherever you go.
Keep your eyes on Me.
You don't have to figure it out. I already have.
You don't have to make it happen. I will.
You don't have to work or worry or strive. Rest in Me.
And so today I remind myself one more time, just as I remind you:
God knows.
He hears and He sees.
He hears the cry of your heart and He sees every detail of your life.
He knows the end from the beginning. His love is always with you and His heart is always for you.
God, your God, your Dad, your great and heavenly Father, loves you!
He hears you. He sees you. He knows you.
And because He is in control, you can rest.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT
