The NYPD lost 23 members on 9/11, but more than 100 officers have died from 9/11-related illnesses since then, and more are fighting for their lives. On 9/16/17, we lost Sgt. Chris Christodoulou to Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer that was caused by exposure to toxins at World Trade Center. Chris was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, and we can never thank him enough for his service, kindness and ultimate sacrifice. RIP Sgt. Chris Christodoulou. We promise to never forget you. Through our memories, you will live on forever in our hearts.
