Howard Kyle, Secretary, Edwin Booth Memorial Committee, November 13, 1918:

"The Players, as chartered under the laws of the State of New York, now accept the monument, free from encumbrances, and assume the duty of its care and preservation...The warmest appreciation is due the Trustees of Gramercy Park, without whose full co-operation our end could not have been realized."
