 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I hope everyone had a great time enjoying the holidays with their families! And that Santa was good to all the kiddies!
We ended off 2010 with a bang celebrating the holidays through various All That Glitters inspired events. 2011 is proving to be just as good of a year with many great themed events planned out or in the works for you to enjoy with your little ones! If you haven't had a chance to check out our upcoming calendar, please head over and do so. We hope to see you all out and about around the neighbourhood soon!

| What's Cooking?
Hamburger Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
1.5 lbs Lean Ground Beef
3 Medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 Medium onion, thinly sliced
3 Medium carrots, thinly sliced
1 Celery rib, thinly sliced
10oz frozen peas
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
10oz Condensed tomato soup
2 tsp Beef bouillon powder
1/2 cup Water
Directions
Scramble-fry ground beef in frying pan until browned. Drain well. Turn into slow cooker.
Add next 7 ingredients. Stir.
Mix soup, bouillon powder and water in bowl. Add to slow cooker. Stir. Cover.
Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours. Makes 8 cups.

Family Craft Corner
 Paper Hats or Crowns
Your kids will LOVE wearing this toddler craft!
Supplies
- Paper or paper plate
- Stickers, crayons, and/or markers
Directions
Prep:
- For paper plate crown, starting at the center of the plate, cut diagonal lines outward to make points (see diagram)
- For other hats, cut strips of paper big enough to fit around your toddler's head. Tape them end-to-end, but not into a full circle yet
- Trace or draw and cut out a shape for the front of the hat
With your Toddler:
- Place the pieces of the hat in front of your child
- Let him be creative and draw or put stickers to decorate his creation
- Once your toddler completes this activity
- For crown- fold up the points and place on your child's head
- For other hats- staple or tape shape to strip of paper and then staple or tape strip to fit toddler's head
