Who Are You!!?? 9/24/17
Romans 12:3-8 (KJV)
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
In response to my dear friend and brother in Christ, Mr. Jenkins, I post today a very interesting and intriguing TEACHING I was taught many years ago.
It was taught to me in a series of classes from a long ago mentor and she had retrieved the teaching from a book, the name of which I have no recollection!!!
I have found it to be most accurate in determining what we, as individuals, have received of God as OUR INDIVIDUAL GIFTING OF GOD:
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
NOW, BEFORE I BEGIN, BE SURE AND READ THE ABOVE SCRIPTURES CAREFULLY!!
Then I am going to describe a scenario that YOU were invited to!
BE SURE and do not make a final conclusion of WHO you are until I have finished COMPLETELY describing the individuals unique GIFTING-YOU will have a primary and secondary GIFTING OF GOD.
I PROMISE IT WILL BE BOTH FUN AND ENLIGHTENING!!!
A person gave a dinner party one evening and invited several guests-YOU are one of the following people:
For dinner, the host was serving BLUEBERRY PIE for dessert and dinner was being served in the dining room on brand new,deep pile and stark WHITE carpet!!!!
The first guest arrived and unbeknownst to the host, had also brought along her three year old son.
YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!!
Can you say BLUEBERRY PIE ON TOP OF STARK WHITE CARPET!!??
OF THE FOLLOWING WHO ARE YOU???
One guest, who promptly upon arriving, spotted the pie, the little boy and taking note of the carpeting, announced boldly exactly what was gonna' occur!!
Another guest immediately jumped up from the table when the pie landed and rushed to the kitchen and retrieved cleaning supplies and got down on their hands and knees and began cleaning!!
Another guest promptly began ORGANIZING all the others to "fix" the situation.
One guest handed the host a $50.00 bill the name of the carpet cleaners she personally used.
Another guest, spotting the little boy crying in the corner-knowing that it was his fault-rushed to his side and began consoling him.
Another guest began to tell the others HOW to clean carpet correctly and HOW to prevent this occurring in the future.
The last guest began telling the others that it was gonna' be OK-he had the same carpet at home and had indeed dropped blueberry pie on his carpet, and had lived to tell about about!!!
OK!-WHO ARE YOU-FIRST AND SECOND IMPRESSIONS!!!!????

GIFT OF PROPHESY-YOU are able to "see" the future and love to WARN others of impending danger!!!
GIFT OF MINISTRY-YOU are a SERVANT and love to serve and help others!!!
GIFT OF TEACHING-YOU are studious and love to learn and TEACH others!
GIFT OF EXHORTATION-YOU "have been there/done that/bought the T-shirt and have the video and SURVIVED and now love to ENCOURAGE others!!"
GIFT OF GIVING-YOU love to GIVE and are especially delighted when your GIFT exactly meets the need/needs of the recipient!!!
GIFT OF RULING-YOU love to ORGANIZE and love seeing your plan come to fruition!!!
GIFT OF MERCY-YOU have the GIFT of COMPASSION and love the under dog!
You LOVE to comfort the weak and ailing!!!!
I, personally, BELIEVE I have the GIFT of EXHORTATION-
I "have been there/done that/bought the T-shirt and have the video and SURVIVED and now love to ENCOURAGE others!!"
My SECONDARY gifting is the "GIFT OF RULING!!!"
I LOVE to delegate authority out and allow others to contribute to whatever task is at hand!
WHO ARE YOU!!??
