Header Father Daughter

We promise loads of fun this summer as we explore the origins of popular art forms and create SEVEN new projects in FIVE different media:

We'll build and sculpt one of these clever mugs out of wet clay, adapted from the Edgefield, South Carolina face jugs.

We'll learn how the printing press helped patterns develop, as we create relief designs on a trivet, also out of wet clay.

Who can resist the chance to make a funny face as we paint a self-portrait on ceramic in the style of Picasso?

We'll play with swirls of color as we re-create Van Gogh's Starry Night on canvas.

Fabric art is full of possibilities for design and color.  We'll make a pair of batik printed cloth napkins (using gel glue instead of hot wax,) and create complementary napkin rings out of wet clay.

We'll used fused glass to tell a story, the way stained glass started for the benefit of people who couldn't read.

Mosaics have adorned walls, floors and ceilings for centuries.  They're especially popular today for re-decorating tables, chairs, planters and bird baths.   We'll learn how to do this ancient art with a simple glass luminary.

Camp sessions are four days each, with different weeks for ages 5-8 and 9-14.  Campers bring a lunch or snack and we'll provide a lemonade drink.  Some weeks are already filling up, but we still have spaces in the early weeks, starting June 17.

Register now to get your preferred date and avoid the price increase on June 1.  Details and registration form are on the website at Summer Camp.

SPRING PROJECTS

If you're looking for a last minute gift for Mother's Day, check out our line of ready made glass pendants and earrings.  We've just produced some new pieces for Spring, based on ideas from best sellers.

Remember the Teacher Appreciation gifts too.  We have a variety of mugs, bowls, plates, picture frames, vases and planters that look great with kids' thumbprints.  We'll show you how to decorate with simple themes to warm a teacher's heart.

Father's Day is just around the corner on June 15.  We're glad to help with hand and footprints on a piece that Dad will treasure.  Look for sample designs in our studio or bring in your favorite idea on Pinterest.

Take advantage of the coupon below to complete all your Spring projects.

We look forward to serving you.
