Deforestation of the Amazon is one of the most pressing issues in our struggle to decelerate global warming, mitigate climate change, and ensure a right to food for all. Providing 20 percent of our oxygen, housing 10 percent of the planet’s biodiversity, and helping to stabilize the global climate, preserving the Amazon rainforest’s health is critical on a global scale.
