When Should You Fire a Client?

The customer is always right. Or are they?   Have you ever had "that" customer?  The one whose name popping up in your inbox (or on your phone) just makes you cringe?
Define your best customers - those who are most satisfied, most profitable and are enjoyable to work with - so you can nurture and attract more just like them. At the same time, define which customers cost your business time and make you frustrated.
Breaking up may be hard to do, but when a client is costing you money or making you crazy, it can be a smart move.  As a small business owner, it is important to know when it makes sense to fire a client.

Dr. Bridget Brondon
Dr. Bridget Brondon is a podiatrist with offices currently in Centerville and Monroe, Ohio.  She graduated from Loras College with a bachelor of science degree in 2006 and went to medical school at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine (at Rosiland Franklin University), graduating in 2010. She completed a two-year medical/surgical residency program at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida, before moving to Ohio in 2012.  
 
Bridget is board qualified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She currently has privileges at Sycamore Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital South and Atrium Medical Center in the Dayton area. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association, Midwest Podiatry Academy and the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.  
 
Bridget is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and currently resides in Franklin, Ohio, with her husband, Mike. She enjoys travel, reading, spending time with family and friends, playing the piano and reffing middle school and high school field hockey.

Libby Ballengee is a multi-talented communication arts professional. During her 13-year career as a photographer and art director in educational publishing, she has been widely respected for her creative instinct and innovative strategies. Libby is personally requested by national publishers to lead their creative teams. Last year, she struck out on her own, founding her own companies Venus Child Productions and Libby Images, Inc. She also lends her expertise to the Folio Designhaus team, a downtown design and marketing firm with the coolest offices in the city.
