ACES Ed Update
This May, ACES Ed hosted over 150 students for educational overnights and campfire programs at Rock Bottom Ranch. Second grade students from Aspen Elementary schools, third graders from Crystal River Elementary, and the Carbondale Community School kindergarten class explored the farm and gardens of the Ranch after-hours on evening hikes, helped with morning chores, and many groups stayed the night in tents or even slept under the stars! This is a wonderful program and helps to provide a foundation for the next 10 years of outdoor and experiential education programs offered through our amazing local public school system.
Sustainability & Education Apprenticeship
ACES Sustainability and Education Apprenticeship is designed to introduce high school students to environmental science and education careers. The program is available for college credit and features experiential immersion in environmental science, sustainable living, education, and action.

Summer Educators-in-Training: Volunteers Needed
ACES seeks young adults ages 14 and up to volunteer this summer!

Volunteers will help ACES Educators during our week-long summer camps for kids, ages 4 - 14. This opportunity is perfect for teens who are looking for increased responsibilities in a fun and educational setting, especially those who may have "graduated" from ACES camps or are interested in the field of environmental education.
Rock Bottom Ranch Products
The first cucumber came off the vine this week, which means that summer is just around the corner! We are excited to welcome new agriculture crew members this month, as our vegetable production gets into full swing. As the hoop houses get more crowded by the day, we're also gearing up to welcome hundreds of kids to the ranch for our summer camps. Bring it on, summer!

We are open Monday - Friday from 9AM - 5PM, and Saturdays from 9AM - 1PM. The Catherine Store section of the Rio Grande trail is also open, so hop on your bike for a visit! Farm Tours are offered Monday - Saturday at 11AM.

Our products can be purchased at the Ranch during open hours, and eggs are also available for purchase at Hallam Lake in Aspen. Please call ahead to confirm product availability. In addition, select products are available from Skip's Farm to Market in Basalt and Meat and Cheese in Aspen.  Beginning June 16th, visit our booth at Aspen Saturday Market in front of City Hall, and Basalt Sunday Market, beginning June 17th.

Available products include:
  • Eggs
  • Pork
  • Beef
  • Whole chickens
  • Vegetables coming this summer: kale, salad mix, swiss chard, cucumbers, tomatoes and more!
